Try-a-Tri

400m swim - 10k cycle - 5k run

Date 27th June 2009
Time Swim start at 07:30
Where Balerno High School

We are organising a fun Triathlon on 27th June for all club members to have Try.

It is not competitive, not timed, but an opportunity for everyone to have a go at putting all three disciplines together.

The swim starts at 07:30 as normal @ BHS, where we will be put in heats according to expected times to swim 400 metres. After this, the cycle route is 10k around the Rigg, followed by a 5k run using the Lymphoy route.

Don't worry if you don't know the routes, etc, there will be plenty of us around able to point you in the right direction.

We are charging £5.00 for the event, which covers your normal swim, plus room hire in the school for tea and buns afterwards.

Come along and enjoy.

Please remember this event is only open to club members, as our insurance does not cover non-club members who may wish to participate.

We will be able to use the room in the school to store kit after the swim, as we will have to vacate the swimming changing rooms at 08:30. There will be someone to keep an eye on bikes that are left in the car park during the swim and run. Please make sure you bring your bike helmet along - and wear it, and that your bike is in good/safe working order for the ride.

Please e-mail events@pentlandtriathletes.co.uk to confirm if you would like to participate.
